Saturday, Sept. 11 • 2021 Kindness Walk

Join us at 1:00 p.m. at Flat Branch Park for the dedication of the newly-complete kindness mural, followed by a kindness walk from Flat Branch to the butterfly mural in Alley A between 9th and 10th Street. There will be free gifts and snacks for those who participate. A reception will follow at Speckled Frog Toys & Books and the butterfly mural. Registration encouraged!

Saturday, Sept. 18 • Harvest Hootenanny

Come join us for an evening of fun as Children’s Grove participates in the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture's 12th Annual Harvest Hootenanny on Saturday, September 18 from 4-9 p.m. There will be all sorts of carnival games for kids (and kids at heart!) to play. Children's Grove will host a very cool duck pond with fun prizes. This is a fundraiser for the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture.

Wednesday, Sept. 29 • NAMI Family-to-Family

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session education program for family, friends and significant others of adults with mental health conditions. NAMI Family-to-Family provides information about anxiety, depressive disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and other mental health conditions. Other topics covered include communication, problem solving, treatment and recovery. Register for free at namimissouri.org/FTF.

Monday, Sept. 27 • Kindness in Business Awards

Nominations open on September 27 for the 2nd annual Kindness in Business Awards, presented by Children's Grove and Missouri Business Alert! The awards will celebrate Boone County businesses and nonprofits that have shown and promoted kindness in dealings with customers, employees, youth, and the community at large. Nominations are open until October 10 at kindnessinbusinessawards.com!
